Almost all the background jobs in the system are scheduled. All the scheduled jobs have some end date provided during the definition. These jobs won’t run after the job end date and occupies some space in the server as well. As part of clean-up process, the scheduled background jobs should be deleted from the SAP system once the job task is completed.

TMS stands for Transport Management System. TMS is used to move, manage, control, copy development objects like programs, screens etc. and customised settings in an order across the system through predefined transport routes (RFC Connections).
Transport Management is the most important component in SAP system. STMS supports CTO for central management of all transport functions. TMS is used to perform the below activities:
Transport Layer used to group the object changes of similar kinds. Transport layers are assigned to all objects coming from DEV system. The layers are required for consolidation transport routes. But not required to delivery transport routes.
Different routes created by system administrators to transmit changes between the systems in a system group/landscape are called as transport routes. Transport route describes the direction a transport can be transported.
Transport request is a collection of information about the configuration changes required to move one source to one or more destinations. Transport request is created for changes in configuration table or program.
Once the SAP version successfully released to the market, the bugs in it are handled as part of the release support. SAP support team forwards the bug information to the SAP development team and development team fixes the bugs.
